ABOUT US
The Mather Sundial at Princeton University is symbolic of the important relationship between two great forces of the world. In the early 1900s Sir William Mather, prominent British businessman, Member of Parliament and Christopher Mather's forebear, was one of the great champions of international trade and had a close association with Princeton University, by whom he was awarded an honorary degree. He was grateful to the USA and Princeton in particular for many things and wanted to give them a meaningful gift.
Sir William knew that Woodrow Wilson, the president of the university at the time, wanted the architecture of Princeton University to reflect the buildings of Oxford, and the town the feeling of Cambridge, England. So Sir William’s gift was the Mather sundial that stands in McCosh Courtyard, a perfect replica of the Turnbull sundial in the quad of Corpus Christi College, Oxford.
Today, there is another combination of forces between these two great countries, the team of Christopher Mather and Nick Bradley. On opposite sides of the Atlantic, both steeped in global trade, these two are experts in the world of corporate branding, marketing and building new businesses, including their financing, and have successfully launched many important businesses...
